Search Types -
You can conduct a simple search by selecting any of the search options from the
left-hand side of every page. Search by individual name, company name, or
geographic location. You can also search by organization type, including
Accountants, Administrators, Associations/Regulators, Attorneys, CDO Asset
Managers, Consultants, Credit Enhancers, Financial Printers, Investors, Issuers,
Rating Agencies, Software/Information Services, Trustees and Underwriters.
From the Advanced Search menu, you can customize your search by selecting as many
search options as you'd like.

Search Results -
Searches will return a list of all organizations that fit the criteria requested,
and will include the organization name, the city and state (or country, if not in
the United States). If you have conducted a search by person name, the name will
also appear in the search results. Click on the organization name to get a full
listing of the organization.
When searches result in a list that is larger than 250 records, the search list will
be broken up into pages, to minimize load time.

Search Results: No Matches -
When a search results in No Matches, that means that there is no organization or individual
in the ASDONLINE database that fits the criteria requested. When this happens, the Search
criteria must be modified to expand the potential for matches. Here are some tips on how to
do this:
- Decrease the number of letters in an Individual Name field to fewer letters. For example, shorten Joseph to Joe, or shorten Joe to just the first initial J.
- Check the spelling of Company, Individual and City names in key word boxes.
- Eliminate City criteria if entered in an Advanced Search. Possibly there are no offices fitting requested criteria in a specific city.
- Specify match Any Criteria (at the bottom of Advanced Search page), which results in organizations that meet some but not all criteria.
- At Company Name key word box, spell out the name as it is spoken and without punctuation. For example, A G Edwards. When you are unsure of a spelling, just use the first letter.

| Search Results: Sort Order -
Order is alphabetical by organization name, then city, then organization type. Searches by
person name also include an additional sort of the person's last name. Premium listings
(listings associated with advertisers) are always listed first and Premium titles are in
the grey box. Enhanced listing titles are in bold type.

| Search Results: Alphabetization -
Alphabetization is based on all letters in a name. Exclude "The" and any punctuation
such as periods or commas. Generally, names are spelled as they are commonly spoken;
i.e., A G Edwards, not Edwards, A G. (Occasionally, a company will request a non-standard
alphabetization, such as A. B. Capital under Capital). For government issuers, exclude
municipal type, such as "City (or Town) of"; just use the municipality's name ("New York"
instead of "City of New York")

Listings: General Info -
Listings contain all of the information reported by a firm for a specific office, defined
by organization type and location. One company may have several listings with different
organization types and/or different locations, so when reviewing search lists, keep these
criteria in mind.
E-mail addresses are enabled for enhanced and premium listings, so you can e-mail organizations
with just a few clicks. Each listing may also contain detailed information relevant to the
organization's industry segment. Listings may include a "services offered" description,
as supplied by the firm.

Updating Listings -
To update information in a listing, click on the Update Listing link in the Services
section on the left hand side of the screen. Describe the information to be updated
and e-mail the information to us. To update extensive amounts of information, simply
print out a listing, write changes directly on the listing copy and fax to us at
847-676-9616. To ensure accuracy, the editorial staff may call to verify updated
information sent in via e-mail or fax. Additionally, update forms are sent to listees
at least once a year.
We encourage organizations listed online to provide us with as much information as possible
about their firms, and as frequently as possible. Subscribers to this online service are
particularly interested in contact names, titles, phone numbers and e-mail addresses for
quick communication with colleagues.
